Spring in New York usually means two things: warmer temps and rain gear (go away rain), but a recent string of sunny days had me inspired to shed heavier knits for this sheer and floral ensemble. The button-down wafer-thin organza shirt with balloon arms keeps it fancy and effortless. After months of winter, it’s a relief to feel light and happy again.

How to wear: I tied the ends of the shirt to keep this billowy shirt from looking too fancy. Paired with a dark green crop top and a deep neckline, this outfit begged for layered necklaces. These ribbed, solid colored crop tops are a staple in my closet and fit like a glove. To keep the look casual, I snagged these stretchy and comfy skinny jeans from Madewell. I’ve been loving high-waisted jeans more than ever, but the soft denim fabric that make up this pair makes them a favorite in my closet. I added bright white block faux-snake heels to keep it bold.

Where to Wear: This is a great day-to-night outfit: I would absolutely wear this for a late brunch and daytime stroll that turns into a casual evening meal with friends. This look can easily be altered for a more formal approach. Simply replacing the jeans with a pair of wide legged trousers in white will make this look suitable for work events and meetings.
